House Hunting with
Feng Shui - Part 4
Get an internal floor plan drawn
by the architect if possible, because it has exact dimensions, and
it is drawn to scale. If you cannot get that, then draw your own
floor plan. However, try to get accurate proportions and dimensions.
Check the compass direction, and
then work out the orientation of the house. The main door should be
located at one of the fortunate location such as sheng chi, tien yi,
nien yen or fu wei. Make sure the main door, pathway, bedroom door,
bedroom, study room and dining room are located at the fortunate
locations. However, beware of the annual afflictions. Toilet,
bathroom, wash area, kitchen, stove, and storeroom should occupy
harmful sections.
Watch out for common design afflictions. Knowing these basic feng
shui principles will save you thousands of dollars and frustration
in correcting your house.
|
Common Design
Afflictions
-
Do not have the kitchen & dining room
located near the main door, especially in an apartment. Do not have the
living room located at the back of the house.
-
Do not have the main door built under the
toilet or bathroom of the upper floor in a double storey house.
From
many years of my feng shui practices, there are many common feng shui
afflicted designed houses. Some houses are designed in this way due to
cost-saving, while others are just designed by architects, who are not
aware of feng shui principles.
|
Main Door
-
Do not have too many main doors.
-
Do not have the front door facing either
the back door, a large window or a balcony directly especially in an
apartment.
-
Never open the main door to face the
toilet, kitchen, storeroom and staircase.
-
Avoid facing interior poison arrows once
you open your main door.

Bedroom
-
Have regular shaped bedrooms.
-
Do not have a bedroom built above a
kitchen of the lower floor in a double storey house.
-
Do not have a bedroom built below a
toilet of the upper floor in a double storey house.
-
Bedroom door should not face another door
directly.
-
Bedroom door should face your fortunate
direction.
-
Avoid facing the poison arrows once you
open the bedroom door.
-
Bedroom door should be opened into a mini
Bright Hall or a spacious area inside and outside, where qi can collect
and circulate.

Other Interior Tips
-
Have open center.
-
Avoid having the toilet door facing
the kitchen.
-
Do not have toilets placed directly
above the dining room.
-
Staircases that have more landings
are better in a double storey house.
-
There should be a landing before the
staircase opens to any room.
-
Staircases should be wide and gentle
with no “holes” in the steps up.
The Art of locating the wealth spot and
date selection are taught in the Master
Feng Shui Course. Water is the most potent feng shui
enhancer or remedy, if it is placed at the right location (Wealth Spot),
and at the right time, with the correct flow and body of water.

If you can buy a good feng shui house,
why buy a house that is broken in feng shui, then try to fix it.
If the feng shui of the house is already bad, your feng shui master
can only help you to fix the internal of your house to avoid the "sha
qi" but there is no "sheng qi" to tap. Your feng Shui Master cannot
fix the external environment or landscape. He or she can only help
you to avoid the bad structure or "sha qi" to improve your house
feng shui.
Fixing a bad feng shui house is just
trying to improve a lousy feng shui house to a house that is not
that bad in feng shui. In the first place, if you can find and buy a
good feng shui house, why not? Maybe, you have very little feng shui
knowledge. This is not a problem. Get a feng shui master to help you
in your house hunting adventure. We at 1Fengshui.com offer feng shui
house hunting service, and Master TY Tan will personally work with
you to find the ideal feng shui house.
Master TY Tan can be contacted by Tel
: 018 - 38 128 38 for an appointment for a free preliminary discussion.
